Glassware or porcelain gaiwans are ideal as this green tea doesn’t require high temperatures (80°C / 175°F) for preparation. In addition, you’ll enjoy the view of how the leaves unfurl. Apply about 6-8 grams of tea to enjoy up to 12 brews. It’s appropriate to start with a steeping time of about 20 seconds, which you can slowly increase after the 3rd brew. If you don’t have a small tea vessel, you can use the following Western brewing guide:

To bring out the best flavor of the tea, the water for brewing Liu An Gua Pan should be 80°C /  176°F. Liu An Melon Seed can generally be brewed for up to 3 times in large mugs or teapots.

When you use a straight glass or mug, you may also apply the grandpa brewing method
