Anxi natural environment is unique, tea tree resources are very rich, has collected more than 50 varieties of tea tree, known as “tea tree seed bank”. Anxi is now the most representative of the six famous tea is introduced as follows:
Tieguanyin
Native to Anxi Xiping Town, is the best oolong tea. It is the best oolong tea, with tight and heavy cords, bright golden tea, long and rich aroma, and mellow and sweet flavor, and has been rated as the national famous tea and the world’s famous tea.
Golden Gui (Huangdan)
Originally produced in Anxi Huqiu Meizhuang Village, it is another top grade of oolong tea with a style different from that of Tieguanyin, with the unique quality of “one early and two aromas”, and was honored as a National Famous Tea in 1985.
Honzan
Native to Xiping Township, Anxi, it is a close relative of Tieguanyin, but its growth potential and adaptability are stronger than that of Tieguanyin, and the quality of the finished tea is similar to that of Tieguanyin.
Hairy Crab
Native to Daping Township, Anxi, wide adaptability, strong resistance, easy to cultivate, high yield, the appearance of tightly knotted, young leaves at the end of more white hair, the inner quality of the aroma is high, favored by consumers.
Meizhan
Native to Lutian Town, Anxi, it has wide adaptability and high yield, and can be used to make various kinds of tea in different places of origin. The black and green teas have a high flavor; the oolong tea has a unique flavor and is of good quality.
Big Leaf Oolong
Native to Anxi Changkeng Shanping, it has wide adaptability, strong resistance to adversity, developed root system, drought and cold resistance, strong resistance to pests and diseases, high yield, good quality, and is well loved by consumers.
